What is the ideal length for a Blog for SEO?

"It's 800 words! Neil Patel says it's 800 words! Don't do anything shorter than that or it won't work!"
In this podcast I address one of the most common questions I get asked, and it's a relatively simple one, but it's so often answered wrongly.
Far too many supposed SEO and digital marketing experts cling like glue to something Neil Patel or John Mueller may have said once upon a time, taking it out of context and presenting it as gospel.
So, what really is the ideal length for a blog? Or is that even the right question?
After that, I move on to another topic where nonsense advice drives me crazy - duplicate content. Is it a no go? Is Google cool with it? Is what I'm doing "duplicate content" or is it "repurposing"?
A nice succinct one for this week, as I wrap up both these matters in under 15 minutes.
Here's the blog from Neil Patel that many people seem to cite regularly - https://neilpatel.com/blog/long-blog-articles/. Note that he says "it only matters if the content is good" and mentions that some bloggers have had success with blogs of under 200 words.
